About Jim

James M. Shaffer, PMPAbout Me:

I am Jim, a family man from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I am a devoted Christian, father, and husband. I love life and all it has to offer. To quote Dave Ramsey, I am “better than I deserve,” and am blessed beyond my comprehension.

I am devoting my life to helping others become better leaders. I believe that the word “leadership” has taken on a meaning that isn’t entirely accurate. I hope to change the distinction that leaders are merely bosses or “higher ups.” I want everyone to embrace their inner leader so they can become whoever they were meant to be!

I consider myself a “people’s leader” if there is such a thing. I am not one to sit in the proverbial ivory tower and bark at people to be better. I want to show everyone how to be better, regardless of their position. This includes students of all ages as it is never too early to start.

As someone whose known the “younger and more enthusiastic” Jim, it’s good to see that life has treated you well over the years and you are enjoying all it has to offer. I’ve read a few of your insightful posts, and I find we have similar outlooks on leadership and management (two separate, yet inextricably intertwined skill sets!). Keep posting.

It’s good to see you, brother!

Joseph!! So great to “see” you again. Thank you for your encouragement and readership. Yes, I was more “enthusiastic” in the younger years. I still am but perhaps with a more experienced angle now. Life has had its ups and downs, but I will not complain. I am blessed beyond what I deserve, but I’ll take it and do the best I can with it. Let me know when you come home. I’d love to see you again.

  2. “I hate sin, not people, and the sin I hate is my own.” ……….. nice sir!
